The South African Business School’s Association (SABSA) has put forward a proposal to the Council for Higher Education (CHE) wherein it suggests that its member schools implement higher entry requirements for the MBA programme.
South China University travelled to Australia to participate in the Asia-Pacific conference. They received a certification granted by Chris Russell, President of the International Management Committee confirming that the South China University of Technology MBA program has reached AMBA international certification requirements.
Students on UK full-time MBAs are largely international which has inevitably influenced candidates’ decision-making processes.
University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business (GSB) has become AMBA accredited.
Nine of the top ten business schools in Europe according to The Telegraph are AMBA accredited.
Professor Walter Baets, director of the GSB says “We welcome this accreditation and are proud of it because it confirms the value of our MBA offering at the school, building our reputation as a globally competitive institution”.
In these recessionary times, politicians and public servants agree on the need for support and encouragement of entrepreneurs.
AMBA have accredited The University of Waikato for their MBA and MBM programmes. The accreditation is for a maximum of five years.
