Webinar: MBA guide to human rights and the business of modern slavery

Book your place

An estimated $354 billion in goods and services are produced each year by modern-day slaves. MBA programmes shape the next generation of business leaders, but many financial models and corporate strategies they teach are now recognised as contributing to the growth of worker exploitation and rising inequality.

MBAs often graduate unprepared to address new anti-slavery laws requiring annual public reporting of what they are doing to identify and address slavery in their operations and supply chain.

Meaningful progress to stop the spread of modern slavery requires the resources, insights, and active engagement of all business leaders. This webinar will explain:

  • what modern slavery is
  • why it has gained a foothold in the global economy, and;
  • why Business Schools and MBAs need to be actively engaged in the anti-slavery agenda.

Jennifer Wascak will share her experience as an attorney in the field of business and human rights. She makes the case for why MBA programmes must be focusing on sustainability and human rights in equal measure with leadership and profit-driven strategies.
