Maria Altamira, Accreditation Manager, ESIC Business and Marketing School
Ms Maria Altamira is PhD candidate at the University of Warwick (UK) pursuing research on the internationalisation and marketing and innovation strategies of Chinese multinationals.
She completed a Master in Marketing Management at ESIC Business and Marketing School (Spain), a Master in Management Skills and a First degree in Business Administration from Deusto University (Spain). She completed professional training programmes in consultancy at Accenture headquarters in Chicago (US), in doing Business in China at Nanjing University (China) and in marketing in China at Shanghai International Studies University (China).
After a professional career at Accenture and Telefonica, she is currently the Director as well as Research Fellow at ESIC Business and Marketing School’s China centre (Spain). Also, since 2012, Ms Altamira holds the position of Accreditation Manager at the School.
She has been member of a team of three leading the EFMD’s EPAS accreditation process for the International Dual MBA Europe and China and the Master in Marketing Management (both accreditations obtained in February 2016) and member of a team of two leading the AMBA accreditation process for the International Dual MBA Europe and China, the full time MBA and the Executive MBA programme. The final accreditation visit was successfully carried out in November 2017.
Julie Perrin-Halot, Associate Dean/Director of Quality, Strategy and International Development, Grenoble Ecole de Management
Julie Perrin-Halot is the Associate Dean/Director of Quality, Strategy and International Development at Grenoble Ecole de Management in France. As Head of GEM’s Centre for Quality and Institutional Development, she guided the construction and implementation of a quality framework resulting in triple accreditation and ISO certification. She is a member of the GEM Executive Committee and has recently expanded her responsibilities to include strategic planning and international strategy and development for the School.
She has been active in the fields of strategy and quality management in higher education through her involvement in publicly funded project work helping institutions to put strategic management and academic processes into place. She is also active as a mentor for AACSB, is a board member for EQUAL (European Quality Link) and serves as a peer review team member for EPAS and AMBA.
Julie participates regularly in national work groups on topics such as quality and corporate social responsibility and is currently chairing a task force on the development and implementation of competency frameworks in business schools. She has published articles in areas such as the future of business education, emerging models for Business Schools, the impact of accreditation, the social responsibility of Business Schools and managing collaborative provision.
PRE-FORUM WORKSHOP: AMBA ACCREDITATION AND LEARNING OUTCOMES
This pre-forum workshop will take place on Thursday 27 September from 14:00 to 16:30 and will be run by higher education thought-partner, Peregrine Academic Services and shall explore how AMBA Accredited Business Schools can address key principles of AMBA’s accreditation criteria, with particular reference to learning outcomes. Conference leaders will explore techniques to effectively map programme and module content to learning outcomes and how to efficiently measure and report learning outcomes and learning gains.
During this workshop, Peregrine Academic Services will present best practice examples based on its global experiences in higher education.
Participants should come prepared to discuss how learning outcomes are addressed at their institutions and to learn from others during this facilitated workshop.
