GISMA: Perfectly German and Thoroughly International

GISMA Business School is located in Hanover, the capital of the state of Lower Saxony, right in the centre of Germany. Hanover combines the infrastructure of a large city (with an international airport, major companies and rich cultural offerings) with the advantages of a smaller town (affordable rents, huge parks, friendly locals).

GISMA was founded in 1999 by German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and a coalition of local companies, among them VW and Continental. Our mission from the beginning was to connect individuals with international management potential with companies in and around Hanover. GISMA is one of the most international business schools in Germany and dispose about the prestigious AMBA accreditation with its programmes. Our faculty and students come from all over the world and our programmes are taught fully in English. Our professors combine academic competence with practical knowledge, always encouraging instructive conversations in the classroom.

Our MBA and Master of Management programme both target future leaders in management, broadening their horizons and honing their management skills in an international surrounding. Since 2014, GISMA has had a close relationship with the Maastricht School of Management, a highly respected business school based in the Netherlands. This co-operation, alongside the AMBA-accreditation has increased the quality of study for GISMA students and benefitted our school as a whole.
