MARKETING MANAGER

We are looking to recruit a dynamic Marketing Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, talented, ambitious and digitally savvy Marketing Manager to create and deliver integrated B2B and B2C campaigns, content and communications to enhance and expand AMBA’s reputation as a key thought leader in the postgraduate management education sector and wider business community.

The Marketing Manager will need to understand the key challenges facing each of its global stakeholder groups, from pre-MBA’s, Students and Graduates to Schools, Employers, Sponsors and the wider business world. They will work with the Membership and Operations Director and CEO to formulate and implement AMBA’s marketing and communications strategy.

The key responsibilities are to:

  • Deliver a cohesive and comprehensive multi-channel marketing and communications strategy across all of AMBA’s diverse stakeholder groups
  • Take responsibility for day to day ownership of all marketing and communications planning, ensuring that all corporate communications are planned and scheduled and that internal customers are aware of the schedule
  • Ensure that all internal customer marketing requirements are successfully understood, planned, agreed, implemented, tracked/ measured and reported to an agreed schedule and standard
  • Successfully promote AMBA’s global events to schools, members and employers, utilising multi-channel campaigns
  • Act as brand champion and custodian of AMBA’s corporate identity and design guidelines
  • Write and edit copy for a business audience, for online and offline channels
  • Plan, run and measure email marketing and communications campaigns to promote events and other initiatives
  • Closely monitor the success of the campaigns including email marketing, social media and tracking web activity (working closely with Digital Content & Community Manager)
  • Take responsibility for maintaining our websites, ensuring the content is always up to date, engaging and relevant
  • Undertake more thorough analysis of campaigns and carry out A/B testing to ensure that we are maximising the efficiency of our communications activity
  • Own and manage the marketing budget
  • Successfully manage relationships with 3rd party suppliers e.g. IT service providers, printing companies, design & branding agencies, media outlets etc. and provide briefs for photographers, designers and copy writers
  • Successfully manage the Digital Marketing Executive (day to day management, setting KPIs/ objectives, undertaking appraisals etc.)

The core qualifications, skills and experience needed are:

  • Degree level education and preferably a professional marketing qualification
  • Experience of developing and running end to end successful and measurable marketing campaigns
  • Creative vision and flair
  • Significant experience and knowledge of digital marketing, SEO and social media tools, techniques and best practices
  • Excellent IT skills, including familiarity with relevant software e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Illustrator/ In-design/ Photoshop), SiteCore, CRM (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics) and HTML as well as image and design tools
  • Experience of and proficiency in multi-media content creation
  • Media planning & media buying experience an advantage
  • Confident and experienced writer/ blogger/ content producer for a senior business audience with excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills
  • Experience presenting in front of senior audiences 
  • Line management experience

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

 

The Association of MBAs (AMBA) is an accreditation and membership organisation and the world’s leading authority on MBA education. We work to accredit business schools, provide information and advice to our MBA student and graduate membership and partner with employers for MBA roles.

 

AMBA is currently recruiting for a dynamic and confident individual to support our global events team primarily in selling delegate packages to both new and existing contacts. This is mainly through managing telesales campaigns to an international audience. We are looking to appoint a client services and sales professional, who has the ability to build a strong rapport with senior people working in the postgraduate business sector.

 

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, results driven and customer focused. This is not an event administration role.

 

Experience, knowledge and skills required:

  • Confident in telephone sales
  • Determination, tenacity, resilience and assertiveness
  • High standards of communication
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to hit deadlines and work under pressure
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office packages
  • Knowledge of the postgraduate education management sector and specifically MBA programmes is desirable
  • Knowledge of foreign languages is desirable

Responsibilities will also include:

  • Achieving desired targets (calls, interactions) to increase sales
  • Upselling delegate packages
  • Building sustainable relationships with delegates to improve market knowledge and retention ratio
  • Working with marketing to create critical sales path and desired promotional activity
  • Selling delegates spaces at physical events by phone and face to face to current and new customers
  • Managing our webinar programme
  • Writing and sending effective sales proposals
  • Producing regular monitoring reports on events activity
  • Contributing towards the creation of profitable new event features
  • Keep abreast of market developments and identify new growth areas
