The Association’s MBA Accreditation service has been running since the early 1980s. We currently accredit MBA provision at 200 schools in over 70 countries.
Endorsement Process
The final endorsement of accreditation is made by the International Accreditation Board, based on a recommendation from the peer review team in the format of a comprehensive report.. Once an onsite visit has taken place, the process for endorsing the peer review team's recommendation is as follows:
1) The assessment report is compiled by the participating Accreditation Manager
2) The report is agreed by the peer review Assessment Team (4 members)
3) The report is returned to School for factual verification
4) the report is submitted to the Endorsement Committee of the International Accreditation Board for consideration
5) The final accreditation decision is confirmed or rejected by IAB, with the following possible outcomes:
5.1) Accreditation for 3 or 5 years
5.2) Deferral of accreditation (with a new visit within one year), or definitive denial of accreditation
6) If accreditation is endorsed, a full on-site peer reviewed re-assessment is carried out at the end of the agreed accreditation period (maximum of five years).
